Well, sorting stuff out I discovered that the bug should only have affected the Mac version, so Windows users should be fine, if not, lemme know.
I uploaded the Mac version, and now it should work, through the client AND through the browser download. Sorry about this, but as this bug directed everything directly to my development folders, I could not see this bug on my own computer, so the client had to cover that up for me.
Running the game through the GameJolt API may take forever though, but that is beyond my powers. This is very dependent on the state of the server, which appears to be pretty sucky now.
Even though Windows users should have been ok from the start, I still updated the Windows version in order to make sure some minor fixes in the scripts will now also take effect on the Windows version, while I was still at it.
