I want to mention that these games on itch.io are pay what you want meaning that you can pay nothing if you want. However, if you dig these games you should give these amazing devs some cash for their hard work!
The Terror Aboard The Speedwell
This game may not be for everyone. TTATS is a text game. If you like reading or this genre then this game is for you. The writing is incredible and terrifying. I was on the edge of my seat at the climax. With an amazing 60 endings I somehow managed to survive. Can you? The game has some pretty heavy stuff in it so make sure to read the content warning on the page if you’re not into that stuff.
I’ve been seeing gifs of Sky Rogue for a long while now and finally playing it is a blast. The game is gorgeous and it’s so thrilling flying around dodging missles and shooting other jets down. I know the game isn’t exactly new but I finally got my hands on it and I wanted to share it.
A game about war. The use of colors in Frail Shells is amazing. It’s a small and sad game, but I enjoyed it very much and I really want to share it here.
With your ChikkinGun in hand, that is a gun that shoots chickens chikkin, you blast away at art and collect booze in the Lourveratory you find yourself in. It’s a really nice and satisfying sidescrolling shooter. Plus shooting chikkins at stuff is hilarious.
MoooN is a small platformer game made for LD31. It has a fantastic art style and really solid platforming. It’s not very long, but it’s a lot of fun for the 10 or so minutes that you’re playing it. Check it out!
Spiral Wings is a short game like MoooN. Spiral Wings is gorgeous, has amazing music, and the flying is fantastic. The game is very calming and the story, even though there is hardly any at all, is satisfying. It’s a great little game that leaves an impact.
