Happy 2024 , and an explanation onto what has been happening over the course of the past 2 months or so.


Alright boiz. I have been going radio silent for a while, and it has in fact been a long ass time since the last true update to the game's progress. Thus i think, now that i'm starting to reach out of my current situation, that i should tell you what has been happening over the course of the past two months or so. (Real quick)

Starting from october of 2023, my IRL life got hit by quite a lot of bumps, all pertaining to my financial situation and, thanks to it, my own mental health. While i won't go into the details, just know that it ended up being pretty rough for me these past two month. Hence why i had no energy, nor motivation left, to work on the game up to now.

Fortunately however, as we enter in 2024 (happy new year btw) my financial situation look like it might just recover far beyond even my own wildest expectations, thanks to me potentially securing a very high paying job. While i am still waiting on the last answer on my attempt at getting it, i am feeling confident that i might have it in the bag.

So yeah, that's about what happened. Judging from where SotML was left at when all hell broke lose for me, i do believe that once i get my own legs running again, the Alpha should release by the end of january, as there's quite literally almost nothing left to do. (If things had not gone crazy, i'd even warrant that the alpha would have released in November 2023 at this point)

Devlog #Alpha : 01/08/2024 : Game Bible Finalization.

In this first pre-unity devlog, we explore the finalized concepts of the coming prologue of SotML.

It has now been a little more than two weeks, and I have nothing much to show right now. So far, my courses on Unity are going well, and am learning what I need to learn.

Almost done with the basics, soon moving to more intermediary stuff. More bellow.

Alright, it's been a while since the last "True" update, and i wanted to give you a little update on where things stand at the moment.

So apparently Unity's CEO decided to start taxing us Peasants. Here's what it means for SotML and even CZ Studios's beginning in general

V 0.4.0 - Player Control and Data type Systems update

A hell of my own making, and a deadline hit. I most certainly have gone insane this time around.

And so he hits the end of the first pathway. And you know what? He even made a mini game at the end! How joyous.

I have to say, there is no feeling like finally becoming capable of designing the game of your dreams. It's both strange, beautiful and terrifying at the same time.

Time for an update on how the prototype is going.

Alright my boiz, it's been longer than i had anticipated because a few things happened :

1. I have finished my coding courses.

2. I have been actively working on the Game prototype, and managed to make roughly half of it.
