More work on the intro cutscene. How do you like the lighting & trees? Would have more to show, but it turns out that in my hiatus, I've completely forgotten how to use Blender haha.
Still working behind-the scenes!
Note to self: Never, ever, ever work on an open-world horror game solo ever again, even a small one like this.
Still getting the whole "world" part built, actually need to program the scares soon.
Have to travel for work, so I'm not able to do too much this time. Made a bridge though! Still scary, in a pinch...
This isn't a game update, this is just something that I kind of need to write & post for myself more than anything else. P.S. As of now, this doesn't mean 3199's going anywhere yet, don't worry. Quite the contrary, I think.
Pop quiz! If you were wandering in the woods, and you stumbled upon this scene, what would you do? (unmute = funny)
Finally, environment should be done real soon! Just so you don't think I'm slacking, once I realized that I was making an open-world game, I had to go and make a whole bunch of special landmarks for the player. Each blue square is a landmark. I'M BUSY!
Sorry I'm late this week, work's been getting more intense lately. Anyway, here's some baby dolls in a giant egg! ... I swear this will make sense in the context of the game.
Sorry for the late update! Only working on small things in a lot of places - not much to show off all at once. I did start wrapping up the main shed though - needed to find the right "rusty metal" texture to tie it all together.
OK, little pep-talk to myself really helped, cause I was on FIRE this week! Among other things, I'm adding landmarks to the map and started work on a new model, the deer! (don't get attached lol)
So...it's been a while, huh? I think I'm starting to get my mojo back, and I plan to start updating this game again, maybe on a bi-weekly basis this time. To show that I mean it this time, I've started work on the opening cutscene!
