I've recently noticed that "Unfinished Demos" are a thing now.

[Read the article before voting!]

MountBound did one.

Rotten Shards did one.

Project: TYRANT sorta did one, but it was a joke.

So I was thinking, should The Flipside do one as well? Here's my reasoning:

The content of the demo is nearly done. I just need to finish up Shadow City. And the only thing that IS missing is the OST, which is going to take a while for reasons that are none of your business. So would you guys be interested in that? Or should I just wait until it's fully done?

I worry that if I release an unfinished demo, people will ignore the "unfinished" part and judge it purely off of it's unfinished state.

It'd also help me to see if the game is worth going forward with-

No. Even if I get feedback like Lucid, I'll still make this game because the people who might hate it can go suck a lemon.

What I have is good. No, I'm not coping. (i think)

In any case, which do you think I should do?

  • Wait until the demo is done fully.

  • Release once the main content is complete!

I don't know if anyone really cares, but The Flipside just passed a big milestone!

The entire game's summary has been complete!

Mae Borowski is the main character of Night in the Woods! It's an adventure game that tells the story of her return to her hometown of Possum Springs. She was confirmed as canonically pan in a social media post by the game's creator Scott Benson.

I don't normally share stuff like this but I've been hyped for this for a long while now.

And fun fact, Good Kid is cannon to be Mira Fletcher's favorite band!

A little over a year ago I made this post showing a plugin for RPG Maker MV that has the party recover all HP and MP upon leveling up. It was made using ChatGPT.
