Important Poll: Overworld Map Update Followup


Had a bit of a brain blast at work, but figured I'd check before full sending it. Should the main parts of the map also get the "revealed upon entry" treatment?

Option 1: No changes, main map is visible from start of game

Option 2: The map is almost completely hidden, and reveals parts as the player enters new zones

(It would also further split up areas like Mysterious Mine when it has it's own self contained sections)

Option 3: Same as above, but the hidden zones are also marked with a teasing question mark

Next up

I think I know what needs to be done to shake up XL's next public appearance...

While I chip away at the code for XL, I might as well show off the fruits of another thing I had tinkered with: modding custom music into Bionicle Heroes.

I know it's completely unintentional, but I swear this is the universe trying to convince me to dig my old handiwork out of retirement and do something with him.

Can it be done?

New look, new direction.

Still deciding if it's worth committing to a full rebuild, but I at least figured out a better way to handle the party swapping mechanic.

Suppose it was rude to take down the demo and not at least show off something as compensation.

First signs of danger.

So, Plan B: The remainder of tonight will run V1 of a solo OCN mode, with an updated version coming tomorrow during the end of the con.

(And a further refined public release of this later on. If there's interest.)
