Important Poll: Skill Color Match

Okay, so I'll be the first to admit that this is a poll I really should've popped sooner in the game's development. But we'll do it now because I'm already waist deep in code.

Anyone who has played the original or XL for a long enough period of time will know that some skills don't necessarily match up with what their colors would indicate.

Esc Key? Yellow instakill. Cosmic Song? White AoE. Bubble Breath? Pink that technically does no healing.

There's a chance for me to do two things with these skills:

  1. I change the color of the button to match what they actually do (and also likely throw off future me who will most certainly forget about these changes)

  2. I add some additional mechanics to certain skills that I want to keep in their current color range (*cough* Slasher *cough*)

So, do I change up things to make (slightly) more sense?

---

Option 1: Keep things the same as they were, no color changes/adjustments

Option 2: Full send the idea, change colors and/or adjust skills

New look, new direction.

I think I know what needs to be done to shake up XL's next public appearance...

So, Plan B: The remainder of tonight will run V1 of a solo OCN mode, with an updated version coming tomorrow during the end of the con.

(And a further refined public release of this later on. If there's interest.)

That time of year again.

I might be having too much fun with this process...

Mini Progress Update:

Motivation came back for a bit, so I figured I'd use it to bring Minibosses back into the fray

(Also working on a demo-specific sidequest that hands out powerups.)

Suppose it's rude to come back doing polls without showing some sort of progress for it.

New project is having a fun, early outing.

Suppose it was rude to take down the demo and not at least show off something as compensation.

While I chip away at the code for XL, I might as well show off the fruits of another thing I had tinkered with: modding custom music into Bionicle Heroes.
