What is Insectoid Descent?
Insectoid Descent is a top-down #retro pixel art wave defense game. Insectoid containment has been breached, and chaotic replication has occurred. The containment tunnel entrances are about to burst, defend your base against progressively growing waves of insectoid specimens, while figuring out a way to escape by rebuilding equipment via salvaging scrap metal around the area.

How much progress has been made?
Development for Insectoid started in September 2017. As of now, the game has been worked on for nearly 8 months. The game has come extremely far from the very first alpha builds, back when we have microsoft paint graphics and sideview trees (despite being a topdown game? haha) We now have crisp clean pixel art typically using 32x32 resolution, 3 different weapons with their own specific play styles,

Who are the developers?
My name is John, I’m the ‘head developer’ for the project, having self taught myself pixel art and clickteam fusion 2.5 specifically for this project, the game is an open project for anybody who wants to gain some development experience in our thriving Discord. IntraMental studios is a little over a year old now, and currently with 130+ members, we have a select few talented souls who have volunteered to help make Insectoid Descent far more awesome than any of us had expected.

Enough of the text, how/when can I play this game??
The game is currently available on our public discord, we will be releasing early access on gamejolt, however there are more things that should be polished, and our new advanced insectoid AI will be the key feature before we continue with the gamejolt release.
