She is no stranger to those who played “The Secrets of Dyrt”. After all Seelah Gandra (aka Scyndi) is a priestess in Weniaria’s order.
Weniaria does not physically appear in The Fairy Tale REVAMPED, although she’s mentioned several times, by Hando Stillor. Since he is a high priest in her honor, I guess that’s only a natural thing for him to do.
Weniaria lived as a half-human/half-elf girl in events taking place approx 20,000 years prior to the events of this story. Weniaria was a devoted healer and her devotion to healing allowed her to end a war taking 10,000 years. The kings of man hated her for that, ambushed her and killed her, but she was revived as the Goddess of Healing, and has been one of the most popular gods in the Elfish religion ever since.
Although she does not take part of this story physically it’s thanks to her, Hando Stillor has powerful healing spells at this disposal, and can therefore act as your party’s main healer. This is why you’ll often hear him say “Oh, Weniaria! Lend me your power!”

A bit of background. When I set up the original game, I was never planning to turn Phantasar into the great saga it has now become. It was clear from the start Hando Stillor would be a priest and owe his healing powers things to a healing god. It was soon decided this god had to be female and had to bear the name Weniaria. That was all the background she had at the specific time. I must note that in my original notes I had a complete different perception of the Elfish religion, as in my later version of the Phantasar lore. Around the time, the ideas came up for “The Secrets of Dyrt” I also had the idea Weniaria would be normal girl who got herself murdered, and would turn into a goddess that way. When that idea was final, I soon came up with the idea that all gods, with the exception of the Elves’ creator Yoyendo, would be mortals first who became gods/goddesses after their death, due to special devotion to certain important tasks.
(If you did not yet reach Dyrt’s final boss, this may be a bit of a spoiler)
Who completed Dyrt may know Weniaria played a bit role in the forming of the “evil” party in Dyrt. This was not originally planned in the first draft of the Dyrt story. In fact the first draft of the Dyrt story was actually too cliché to work with, and I needed some background stories to break these clichés and make everything more creditable. Giving Weniaria a role in that was the key I needed to do this, and everything worked out, and a new draft for Dyrt was written from scratch. By adding Aziëlla (for whom I got my inspiration when I saw a winged girl in a book about drawing anime girls, my ex-girlfriend owns), I could set up the Befindo part of this tale, and boom, the Phantasar lore that would lead to Phantasar becoming a series, was born. In a certain sense you could say that Weniaria was a bit of the mother of my Phantasar saga.
