Mancers Memos nr. 3 - A Walk Around Town

Today's Topic:

A first look at Marauder Town!

Marauder Town will be one of the central locations in Mancers: One More Floor. It's the place players can call home, where they can kick back after a long adventure or prepare for a new one. This week, we'll take a look at the first two buildings you'll be able to visit in Marauder Town.

First, we have the Barracks. This is where the Marauders you've recruited on your adventures are going to stay. Here they'll live, train and generally hang out.

The Barracks are overseen by the Quartermaster. At his desk at the front of the building, you can assemble your party for your next adventure. The Quartermaster will make sure the recruits you choose will be where they need to be on time.

The other building we'll be showing today is Marauder Hall. As the leader of your own Marauder gang, you're not going to stay in the Barracks with the recruits! You'll need a home worthy of your position! That's what the Marauder Hall is for. This is the players very own homebase. Here you'll be able to safe your game, store your items and more.

Lastly, here's a quick look at what these buildings actually look like in town:

So there you have it! A first look at Marauder Town. We'll also have more buildings and more of the town to show you in the near future!

As always, if you're still here thank you so much for taking the time to read this. If you want to stay up to date on the progress of Mancers: One More Floor you can go to our page here and follow the game.

Talk to you later!

We're upgrading Mancers from 16x16 to 32x32 pixel art! Plus we're adding some pumpkin-elements to the enemy sprites! It'll be explained in the game we swear... Here's the new look and the old look for the Gobster Buffboi enemy side by side.

For this years Global Game Jam, we've made a short horror game based on the theme Lost and Found!

In GOAT, your objectives are simple: 1. Make your way down the mountain. 2. Don't get lost. 3. Don't get found.

Two Holy Fires posts in one week? You bet!

A few weeks ago we showed a first look at the boss' arena for level 3. Here it is in it's finished form!

Also, check out that grey demon in the sky. It's Gobanz (or Death Bat), the original boss of level 3!

Happy Devruary! Devruary Day 3 celebrates @Jacorn ! He's a small game developer working on a few projects including Forgotten at Fredbear's! We also have a question for the devs of Game Jolt: What game made you want to be a dev?

The Fourth and Final Level. We're finally making it. Here you see the entrance to Dracula's Inner Sanctum. A walkway surrounded by a giant moat of blood. Can't stay too long to enjoy the nice surroundings though, the blood rises...

Here are some more improved character designs for Mancers!

This is a general #UnrealEngine tool, not specifically for the Mega Man project. It can copy the data from ANY Blueprint or C++ UPROPERTY variable, and copy it back to any compatible variable. Could lead to making Save States for Rollback Netcode.

New Mancers Class: the Brute!

The Mancers and their followers are strong and their numbers are many. To defend your weaker party members from them, the Brutes come into play. With their heavy armor and large shields, they'll keep the enemy at bay!
