Mary's Dating Simulator News!


Last year I revealed Mary's Dating Simulator to the world on April Fools' day. Since then there have been many arguments about the existence of the game. Some think it's a very elaborate prank, while others think we would never go as far as making a new game just for a joke.

This April Fools' day, I am clearing up all confusion about the development and why we've been so silent about it.

Unfortunately, development has been rocky due to some internal conflicts caused by creative differences. After careful consideration, development has restarted. The original plan for the game just wouldn't have been what fans wanted for Mary.

But now, in collaboration with the POPGOES Gardentaker co-creator, @YEPmulti , we know exactly what Mary's fans are after.

We thought long and hard about this decision. The dating part was funny for a while, but clearly, most of you just want to cut to the chase. Why just score a date with Mary when you could go straight to her house and get her cookies and buns?

Generating an entire wall of any shape from a predefined mesh is so much nicer than trying to hard model all these details.

Apparently the old MA2 models still work!

Literally the only thing that carried over from my old way of doing things to my new way is Mary's eye texture. These two models are actually linking to the same iris texture under the highlights for the eyes. I thought that was kind of cool.
