Hey guys! I am bringing you another devlog after 8 days! Featuring: Matchmaking, OpenBGS Embedding, and more
INTRODUCING MATCHMAKING
AERO Xtreme now includes a simple matchmaking system that scans the lobbies' player count. It is quick, so there is no need to sit in your chair staring at the screen, waiting for a match.
AERO X EMBEDDS OPENBGS
Yes, AERO X will now include a special, lightweight version of OpenBGS, designed for AERO X community servers. If you want more control over your own lacewing server, go ahead and use the full version of OpenBGS; it's free and open-source.
ENCRYPTED MESSAGES
After finding a match, you will be transferred to a lobby where you can chat! The messages are encrypted to prevent any eavesdropping because AERO X supports community servers, and inside the community might be malicious users in plain sight. Also, be careful which server you are joining, because malicious users can easily see your public IP.
MATCHMAKING PROTOTYPE
AERO X now includes a matchmaking prototype, so you can test it out. Make sure to write your feedback in the game page's comments.
OTHER CHANGES
The intro has been removed; it is useless, takes up space, and requires Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2015+
Added Anti-Multi-Instance
Anyways, that is all for now. Stay tuned!
