Hello prisoners! The Tronics cooked up new weapons for you to craft. I also made some more changes and tweaks, and I have a new collaborator for AERO Xtreme, so that development might be faster!
DIRECTX 11 & OPTIMIZATIONS
AERO Xtreme is switching from DX9 to DX11, meaning you need a modern GPU, but most GPUs support DX11. The game might feel smoother than on DX9. The game will also be much more optimized, and RAM usage might be even lower!
MAINTENANCE TEAM EXPANDS
AERO Xtreme has a new developer, @J4qob
, the developer behind the 3D Pseudo engine! Hope that he will enjoy his development time here.
EVERYTHING IS 3D

AERO Xtreme is being more and more 3D, as you can see, the player model has changed and is also 3D, but there was one sacrifice to be made, dynamic lighting. It was scrapped since it caused some issues, and competitive players would disable it anyway for an advantage, The only things that remain 2D are bullets, melee attacks, and throwable abilities, since they won't be visible on screen, it is practically useless to make them 3D, and would cause some bugs.

The main part of devlog, more and more weapons, lets look at some new melee weapons, new utilities and a new unique ranged weapon:
RANGED WEAPONS | UNIQUE
Marksman's Rifle

Damage: 32
Magazine Size: 5
Reserve Ammo: 25
Projectile acceleration: Very fast
Firerate: Normal
Inaccuracy while standing: Very Low
Inaccuracy impact while moving: Low
Movement speed impact: 20%
MARKSMAN'S TOUCH (Unique Ability): The weapon is upgraded and designed for true marksmen. It includes a scope that increases accuracy, a buttstock with better recoil management, and high calibre bullets that have higher damage, but requires you to manually eject them from the weapon.
MELEE WEAPONS | STANDARD
Glass Shard

Damage: 20
Range: Short
Cooldown: 0.75 seconds
Bonus: This weapon replaced the Knife as the starting weapon.
Spear

Damage: 35
Range: Long
Cooldown: 1.25 seconds
Wooden Bat

Damage: 15
Range: Medium
Ability: On a successful hit, the enemy gets temporarily blinded.
Cooldown: 2 seconds
MELEE WEAPONS | UNIQUE
Knife

Damage: 40
Range: Short
Cooldown: 0.5 seconds
BETTER GRIP & SHARPNESS (Unique Ability): The melee weapon has a better grip and is sharper, meaning you have a faster cooldown and higher damage
Glass Fragment

Damage: 45
Range: Very long
Cooldown: 3 seconds
TEMPERED GLASS (Unique Ability): The glass on this melee weapon is so strong and sharp that it will probably cause more bleeding than the shard! Just make sure you time your hits correctly.
Metal Bat

Damage: 25
Range: Medium
Cooldown: 2 seconds
HEAVY METAL (Unique Ability): Not only does this weapon blind your enemy, but it also slows them down!
UTILITIES | STANDARD
Medi-shot

Heals 50 HP when activated
Cooldown: 30 seconds
Ammo box

Gives you 2 magazines to your current weapon
Cooldown: 25 seconds
OPEN FOR MODDING!
AERO Xtreme will have an open-source version, OpenAERO Xtreme. You can create mods, tweaks, custom clients, and anything you want; the only limit is your imagination and coding skills.
The source code requires Clickteam Fusion 2.5 with the + add-on. Please note that the source code is protected by GNU GPLv3 license.
