Yorno is Klahré's assistant in her laboratory work, and although his knowledge about virology does not come anywhere close to Klahré's he does know a lot about this subject too. In his free time he's a gadgeteer always tinkering with all kinds of machines nobody seems to see a use for.

As I said before he has a crush on Klahré but she doesn't appear to return his affections (come on, people. We all know where that's gonna end). Although he's a very intelligent man he has a very insecure nature and really has a lot of trouble making clear what he wants to say. Klahré always claims she only kept him as her assistant because the quality of the work he does is top notch.

Now in combat Yorno will be using most of all his self-made machines to produce effects your enemies won't like. In a certain sense he replaces what Final Fantasy fans call the "Black Mage". His brute strength is therefore not very good, but the effects his little gadgets produce can (if used correctly) be downright killers.
