Intro
My point in publishing the demo would be if all dungeons up to the point where Shirley joins the party were done, and that point has been reached, and that means that all missions which are mandatory for complete the demo are present in my current version. That is a big milestone, isn’t it?
Don’t expect the open demo to be out before Christmas though, or even this year. There are still a lot of bugs to fix which I deem very essential to be fixed prior to the demo’s release, and the demo will also have two sidequests available, and I need to start on them. Also when you enter combat with Shirley in your group the current version of the game will crash, and I really deem it important that issue has been taken care of. Plus some cosmetic stuff. All in all, there’s still a lot to do, but the most important milestone has been reached, but it can still take weeks, if not a few months before the game is ready for a demo.
Demo? Is there a paid version then?
No! The full version of Sixty-Three Fires of Lung will be free, as well. The demo is only a kind of “preview” version, so you can see what to expect of the full version of the game. A few features may not be fully working in the demo, as the demo can be considered an open alpha preview of the game. Why you “sniff” a bit on the demo, I’ll be developing the content the full version of the game will bring you.
I don’t mind a buggy game. Can I see what you got already?
Uh, yeah. I still have a few closed-alpha spots available for ya. Just comment below or speak to me in private and if I feel you are trustworthy you can get a key that gives you access to an alpha version that gets updated, nearly every day (if I worked on the game that day, as I also have other obligations), however keep in mind that that version shows all the bugs and incompleteness that I will try to cover up in the public versions, and (I suppose this goes without saying), you will see stuff before other players do, so keep your mouths shut about what you see in the game. We don’t want the entire story line to be spoiled prior to the game’s release, do we?
Is 63 part of the Phantasar universe?
No, it’s not. Where Phantasar is a deeply worked out work with a lot of background lore, this is just a parody to gaming, although there are cameos, but they only serve as cameos and not as true characters of the 63 universe. I would like to see who finds them all once the full game is ready. Any reference to the Phantasar universe you can see in this game can be considered non-canon. I can also say that the same applies for Star Story, as the cast from Star Story also appears as cameos.
Game ads
I originally had the idea to allow GJ users to send me a 64x64 image on which their game is depicted, which could appear on signs on random spots in the game. If you have a game (with downloadable content) you want on a sign in my game, so I basically advertise your game in mine, you can send it to me. Be prepared though that Ryanna will insult your game, as insulting is what Ryanna does best (that’s the entire point behind her character after all, although she’s softer than she wants you to believe), so don’t feel offended by it. “You’re a retarded moron” is the closest thing Ryanna will ever come to “I love you”… Okay?
ETA?
I honestly don’t know. I do this in my free time you know, and that means that all other duties I have take priority. So the only thing I promise is that I won’t make promises. Okay?
That excuse what PATHETIC, Broks!
I know, Ryanna! I know! :P
