This week, I explained how I'm handling textures and UVs. This system makes the textures easy to edit, so I can make alternate colors very easily. I even made a withered bonnie color!
I will be posting updates every friday on my youtube channel! I don't feel like the stuff I've been making would make for interesting text posts, so I'm making short videos instead.
Effects and grabs!
When you block incorrectly, a warning sign will appear above your head telling you where you should have blocked.
I have survived the gauntlet of bugs and mechanics and can now work on making the game pretty! Still no sound though.
Bonnie Face Animations!
He needs to be very expressive so you can tell what he's doing from far away
Also, I gave him the more realistic Five Laps nose. What do you think compared to the original?
This week, I explained how I made the model look more detailed without making it look less 2d. Also, I painted some shading back onto his bow tie
VERSION 0.0.1 IS OUT!!!
also REMEMBER TO TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK IF YOU PLAY IT!!! I'M GOING TO LOCK IN THE MOVESET SOON SO I NEED TO KNOW IF THERES ANYTHING WRONG
Patch notes are in the article
Behold! You can win and lose now! It's weird to see the game actually coming together. The main things left to do are animations, a handful of simple moves, and effects (like shadows)
Controller symbols! Only playstation is done right now.
I originally wanted it to be based entirely on the ps2, but I was worried that would make a lot of the buttons (shoulders, triggers, start, select) hard to find for someone unfamiliar to a ps2.
This week, I explained how the screen space gradients to make Bonnie blue and purple at the same time
I return with sidestepping! And a bunch of technical stuff i cant really show!! Also his model is still old so ignore that!!!
I tried to keep up the effect of the game being 2d by limiting the amount of frames "drawn" when sidestepping.
What do you think?
