I’m happy to annoucne that a long-planned feature, bosses, has made it into the game!
Here’s the full changelog:
Improvements to the look of some cores, including revised thruster placement.
Better design for the tier-2 wing parts, the thrusters actually look like they’re coming from something now.
A new boss enemy type that spawns every other wave.
Small improvements to the upgrade, RADAR and spawns/incoming-enemy UI elements.
Access to the Macross Missile Multitude achievement.
Access to the Macross Missile Massacre achievement.
Access to the Devilish Danmaku Dealer achievement.
Mind, this isn’t anything sensational, I didn’t add a bunch of handcoded bossfights or something. This is just a new, superpowered enemy type that spawns as a singleton, rather then with a swarm of other mutations backing it up. Unlike normal enemies, bosses get upgrades tacked onto every change they make to themselves, making them a much bigger threat.
Good luck fighting the bosses and unlocking the new achievements.
