Well, I was by far too hasty in my last demo upload. Some very serious fatal bugs came along the way yesterday, not to mention a security blockout prevented people to play the game at all…
Well, at least I can say this security blockout did for which it was intended, but this should not have happened, my sincerest apologies
Well, that brings me to the current update and a oddly long changelog for such a short period of time, really…
FIXED: Well the security blockout had to get to work when certain settings in the game are wrong causing incompatibility issues. These settings have now been fixed, and this should cause the blockout not be triggered now. If the blockout does get triggered please let me know IMMEDIATELY (you can just shout me in the comment section of this very blog).
FIXED: Some moves tried to scan the enemy’s AP. Which caused a crash since enemies do not have AP. This has been fixed.
FIXED: Dead allies couldn’t be targeted and as such revival items and spells were rendered useless. This has been fixed.
The “Revive” effect itself didn’t yet work, but it does now.
FIXED: Dying due to zombified healing didn’t cause the character to die, but yet it could be used or healed or anything. This has been fixed.
FIXED: Takeover spells crashing the game
FIXED: Countless of other crashes should belong to the past now.
FIXED: Some cursed weapons did not work the way they should, but they do now. It’s very unlikely you’ll find those weapons in the demo unless you have a very well-worked out Anna-account, but hey, it has been fixed. (They can be found in the full version without an Anna account).
FIXED: Engine would throw some debug warnings. This has been fixed, so they should no longer appear. (Windows only bug, the mac version was fine).
Well this was an act of total stupidity and I learned that I should never be too hasty, and the worst part is, something like this happened before in the production of Star Story and also because I was too much in a hurry, so does that make me a dummy or what?
Anyway if you see version 17.3.9-alpha7 then you got the fixed version. If you don’t see it now, it should appear soon.
