Hey, all!
So you may have noticed I've been surprisingly busy with development of the game recently.
Maybe too busy.
Not gonna lie, I've gotten so much done now that I'm honestly needing a proper Progress Update to emphasize the importance of everything I've been putting in.
So the quick version is that...
Too short? Well, I'll try and elaborate.
I've had a wild amount of overabundant motivation to work on XL recently. Some of it has been funneled into the new character designs (which I will continue to drip feed as I get more done), but the rest has been going into finishing what I started back in V0.9 and almost abandoned outright.
OCN is now (more or less) a complete package. With 16 possible characters to face off against, a slew of rebalances to make it easier for newcomers/ people who don't normally play FNaF to adjust to, as well as a special reward for the most dedicated... it's in the best possible state yet.
(And somehow even better than the original OCN I recycled the code and assets from. '>-> )
All that comes together with the previous updates to make a massive roster of 52 playable characters.
(I am still trying to process this myself. 52, done from scratch.)
But I'm not done yet.
While I do intend to save the other minigames for after the full redesign of the game, I will be adding all the other original content that Update 2/Minigame Mania will be bringing to the table!
New NPC interactions! Toxic air! Spooky rocks! Actually difficult enemies! A boss that is supposedly designed to be unbeatable! All that stuff that specifically ties into FNaF World's core gameplay loop will be making it in within the next month or so.
And since that is a lot of stuff being put in (for the moment), I'm bumping this up to V1.1.0 proper.
Anyways, I should have more solid news soon. For now though, I'm just gonna keep chugging along.
(And wait for the playtesters to realize how ridiculous Animdude's OCN mechanic actually is.)
'Till next time!
