Project Exodus

Hey everyone,

If you played Apotheosis five years ago, you know I was already chasing that classic Halo sandbox magic.

I’ve spent the last few months rebuilding it from the ground up in Unreal Engine 5—this time with a brand-new IP, new story, new factions, and mechanics that push the formula even further.

Project Exodus is that game, evolved.

I just dropped the first dev diary + a free playable build (movement, guns, kinesis – no AI yet, but it’s already feeling great).

Spent the past few days refining Blob Person's mechanics. Now Blob Person's got skillz

I completely broke my game while speed running it

Started learning Niagara so I can make a battle scene for level 5. Making some good progress so far!

Blob Person loves hats, and there's a surprising amount of free hats lying around these blob corpses. Probably nothing to worry about...

One hot night in 2018 I laid awake as I realized I had all the art assets I need to make a Halo clone game. That idea possessed me, and 4 months of programming later, I had finished Apotheosis. It was released on itch-io in 2019. now I'm putting it here!

Wow. Apotheosis is now the most downloaded game I've ever made. Between here and itch. io, it's received over 800 downloads

After 5 years of on-and-off development, we're ending development of our puzzle-platformer, Blob Person. We're releasing the project files and our final build today, free for anyone to use how they wish!

Been messing about with the time travel mechanic to see what kind of puzzles we can make.
