PTB 2.2 in works

(And how to avoid/fix a specific softlock)

Hey.

Will be working on Version 2.2 of the PTB, but it'll be a bit until it'll be ready. These issues are popping up while I'm in the middle of setting up changes to the powerups, so I'll need to get the basics for that set up before then.

This fix will mainly address the Geist Lair's autosaving of vital location data, so it shouldn't affect anyone who isn't that far in the game yet.

If you are planing to head there before the autosave fix, or have gotten stuck because you already went in, then continue reading.

If you are about to enter the area:

Save immediately upon entering the area.

It will save us both a lot of trouble if you do that, and you can continue on this do-or-die trip without any issue.

(Also, dying will put you back in Fazbear Hills, so the punishment for losing really isn't that bad.)

If you entered the area and left the game before saving:

Well, congrats. In trying to back out prematurely, you are now out of bounds and are softlocked.

In order to get back, you'll need to edit your save file. Go to AppData/Roaming/MMFApplications and open up the corresponding save file.

You'll need to adjust these values to get back in bounds. If you use the numbers exactly, it'll drop you right back into Fazbear Hills.

So, yeah. Fixes on the way.

'Till next time.

I might be having too much fun with this process...

Save file stuff (sidequests, maps and "autosaving") might currently be a troublesome mess, but at least development on OCN is going pretty smooth.

Suppose it was about time that some of these skills got a little extra kick.

Turns out what the game actually needed was for me to take a proper break from development and enough time to realize what I had broken.

(It was the values tied to IDing what foe it'd be.)

It'll likely need more testing, but we're back in buisiness!

Yeah, we're doing this.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Motivation has returned in a substantial enough way.

It's been a long time coming...

New project is having a fun, early outing.
