Sorta important poll: Dummy


Mostly having a thought on the showfloor that might be worth getting a more definitive answer on.

So as anyone who has played previous builds know, I took Dummy (a character that originated from Scott's other RPG The Desolate Hope) and put him into XL as a bit of an optional training tool.

Is he enough as is? Not enough? Not worth it?

Just curious.

Option 1: Keep current setup, where Dummy is an NPC in the overworld that offers separate training

Option 2: Make training with Dummy more of a mandatory deal, with the option to skip for more experienced players

Option 3: Make Dummy even more optional via a separate tutorial in the main menu

Option 4: Retire the notion of offering a tutorial for XL and take out Dummy

This whole "making a new battle frame" situation does give me an excuse to add some things I had been putting off for far too long.

Got a (mostly stable) demo ready for the occasion!

I know it's completely unintentional, but I swear this is the universe trying to convince me to dig my old handiwork out of retirement and do something with him.

Still deciding if it's worth committing to a full rebuild, but I at least figured out a better way to handle the party swapping mechanic.
