Sorta Important Poll: Mystery Boxes


Pretty simple one to address. The original game had a differing pull range on it's Mystery Boxes (each slot choosing between 19 characters, and each slot increasing the selection range by 4). XL currently uses a uniform pull range across all 8 slots.

Do I go with a more authentic Mystery Box feel on this?

Option 1: More authentic, different pull range per slot

Option 2: XL's current setup, same pull range for each slot

Regardless of the choice, Mystery Box 1 will be getting more viable as it's pull range will be increased, and Mystery Box 2 will still account for the extended roster.

(Because if you're gonna risk throwing your whole team composition out the window, you might as get some fun character choices out of it.)

Turns out what the game actually needed was for me to take a proper break from development and enough time to realize what I had broken.

(It was the values tied to IDing what foe it'd be.)

It'll likely need more testing, but we're back in buisiness!

Pretty safe to say that Possy will be increasing the price of costumes to compensate for this recent development.

So, Plan B: The remainder of tonight will run V1 of a solo OCN mode, with an updated version coming tomorrow during the end of the con.

(And a further refined public release of this later on. If there's interest.)

Suppose it's rude to come back doing polls without showing some sort of progress for it.

Figured it out.

Save file stuff (sidequests, maps and "autosaving") might currently be a troublesome mess, but at least development on OCN is going pretty smooth.

How about we change things up?
