Sorta Important Poll: Poppers

(And a surprise!)

Quick poll that's mostly tied to a public outing the current build had last night. Poppers was recently reworked to function closer to the original game, which meant I took out the timed detonation feature. I'm just wondering if I should keep it this way, or go back to how I had it.

---

Option 1: Keep original style, requires enough poppers to detonate

Option 2: Return to XL style, poppers will auto detonate after enough time has passed (though the time delay will be adjusted)

---

Anyways, as mentioned above, the game did just have a little local outing. Suffice to say that after a few bug fixes, it's starting to shape up again into something playable. It had a few issues to iron out, but it was nice to get some positive feedback on it after so long.

(And I suppose the whole "accidentally having all enemies hit with 1K damage" does at least give me some ideas for possible gamemodes later down the road.)

The game is still not in the best shape for a proper release (especially since I still need to account for a lot of the poll-related additions/fixes), but it's at least getting close to the point where it could be viable for playtesters to jump back in and provide some much needed feedback.

Before I wrap up this post, I do have one more thing to mention...

Not quite the fix I've been talking about for the past few weeks, but it's at least progress.

Save file stuff (sidequests, maps and "autosaving") might currently be a troublesome mess, but at least development on OCN is going pretty smooth.

So, Plan B: The remainder of tonight will run V1 of a solo OCN mode, with an updated version coming tomorrow during the end of the con.

(And a further refined public release of this later on. If there's interest.)

Motivation has returned in a substantial enough way.

Yeah, we're doing this.

New look, new direction.

Turns out what the game actually needed was for me to take a proper break from development and enough time to realize what I had broken.

(It was the values tied to IDing what foe it'd be.)

It'll likely need more testing, but we're back in buisiness!

First signs of danger.

New project is having a fun, early outing.

Pretty safe to say that Possy will be increasing the price of costumes to compensate for this recent development.
