Sorta Important Poll: Showtime Powerup

(And Powerup overhaul in development!)

Hey, all!

So while the main objective currently is to remove as many of the remaining issues and bugs the game still has in it (which fortunately I've been been having luck in doing so), I've also got an idea that should make certain aspects of the game more accessible to everyone.

So it's still very early in the process, but I'm thinking this is what will be changed to overhaul the Powerups:

  1. Make them function similar to Bytes and Chips, in that you can only select a few for use in battle. This should reduce screen clutter and place more importance on what is brought in to a fight.

  2. Make tiers that will determine how hard a Powerup is to obtain. Thinking it'll be ranked as Common, Rare and Super Rare.

  3. Make Powerups more readily accessible. I'm considering making them obtainable in chests (as an alternate reward), the Fishing Hole minigame's gift box, and even adding in a spare FNAP character to sell them. (Since I do still have a few of those left to use.)

  4. Make more Powerup types. Gonna add more that should be helpful in both defense and offense.

---

And that brings us to the subject of this poll.

One of the ideas I had for one of these new Powerups would allow the team to tap into the power of Showtime abilities!

(Though at a lower power output to encourage the acquisition of the real deal.)

Got a few ideas on how to tackle this, but I figured I'd ask and see what would be preferred.

Here's a quick rundown of the options:

  1. Make a common type that only uses the Showtime skill of the currently active character

  2. Make a rare type that uses the Showtime skills of the active party

  3. Make a super rare one that uses the Showtime skills of the entire party

---
That's about it for now. Hopefully I'll have more to show off about this soon.

'Till next time!

Pretty safe to say that Possy will be increasing the price of costumes to compensate for this recent development.

First signs of danger.

Still have to address a few tweaks to layering and test some other sidequests, but I think that we're back on track again.

Turns out what the game actually needed was for me to take a proper break from development and enough time to realize what I had broken.

(It was the values tied to IDing what foe it'd be.)

It'll likely need more testing, but we're back in buisiness!

Save file stuff (sidequests, maps and "autosaving") might currently be a troublesome mess, but at least development on OCN is going pretty smooth.

Suppose it was about time that some of these skills got a little extra kick.

New look, new direction.

It's been a long time coming...

That time of year again.

Yeah, we're doing this.
