A quick update on the current status
At this moment the very last mission is being developed. This is an optional mission you can only play during the New Game+, and this mission is alone taking the trouble to do the New Game+, trust me. The story of this game revolves around events that took place 10,000 years prior to the start of the story, and in this mission you can see with your own two eyes what happened back then. Yes, this even involves playable content from the past. :)
I am also working on getting a lot of bugs fixed, and my list is slowly getting shorter.
When this mission I’m working on has been finished I’m gonna take a break of at least a week. In that week I will only fix some very urgent bugfixes (read: those that crash the game making it impossible to win the game).
After that week I will run a great beta test and fix every bug I can find and those the beta testers reported to me
If that is all done, the “Open Beta” will start. I will remove the “early access” tag from the game then (in order to set the rating fair too), but the game will be available for play then.
During the Open Beta, the game will be available on Game Jolt, and very likely also on SourceForge. Mac users will also be able then to use HomeBrew to install the game.
The game will when the Open Beta gives no more bugs be deemed stable and then it will also be available on itch.io and IndieDB. It’s not that I deem those sites less worthy than GJ. It’s just that I don’t want to have to upload the game to 4 different sites on every update and during the beta there are bound to be lots of updates.
The only ETA I dare to give is that the last mission I’m working on is very likely completely done by the end of next week, with a little luck sooner, but that depends on the number of setbacks (as I had one today as I was pretty ill this morning). I’m working as hard as I can, and the game is slowly getting near completion. ;)
