Hopefully once I get this concept more fleshed out, and I'm more used to working with the scene editor I can make the "similar scene" I mentioned (I skipped it for now, because I tried to make it before it got way too complicated and I had multiple easier scenes I could do)l She only does this kind of thing a few times throughout the game, mostly when she's telling stories, trying to impress and usually as a scene transition, but it's still a very important part of her character that will come into play later. Ideally I'd like to have her change shape as she's telling said story kind of like The Collector in The Owl House. I was debating on releasing this until I finished the test, but it seemed cool enough to show off so meh :) Also just an extra side note, the game itself is still being made in Gdevelop, just using GMS2 for cutscenes & stuff cause it's far easier. I have a few more extra little things to show off soon as well, so look forward to the next progress update soon.
Next up
Alright, got things flowing a little better already, still obviously very early but overall starting to shape up really well IMO.
Progress is going smoothly once again, my attempts at animating the cutscenes are still...not good, but I am learning.
Gave him a striped shirt and some spikier hair.
Muppy Muddington Tales : January 2023 Main Progress Update (Warning Major Spoilers)
Finally re-did the designs for the main trio in my new style.
So apparently GMS2 has a sequence editor. I stopped using it after 1.4, so I was unaware of that so I've been trying to animate frame by frame. I pulled an all nighter trying to re animate the first few cutscenes, this was the result. Still VERY W.I.P.!
New demo released! Things are getting really crazy in my personal life so I probably won't be able to work on this for a month or two, and it's very buggy so keep that in mind Mac & Linux Builds will release soon. It wouldn't build so I'll try again later
Concept art for the first mini boss Ally Gater, I really like how she turned out.
Wanted to try my hand at digital painting, I like how it came out.
