All right! So I have a couple new things to talk about! ^_^
First of all, I implemented Semi-Soft floors and platforms. You know like how in some stages, the main floor (or the moving bottom-most platform in Peach's Castle 64) can be jumped up through, but you can't drop back down like on a normal floor? That's now in. Regular solid floors and soft pass-through platforms are still working, too.
So I'm about to work on one of the following features:
a) detecting holes to teeter on ("Ottotto/Wait")
b) finally giving Mario his Forward Aerial + Landing animations.
c) Animating Wait3 from scratch.
d) Implementing the Right analog stick controls (C-Stick Smashes)
I hope to have all 4 done very soon! Meanwhile I have a few nagging, lingering glitches.
1) I've begun working on Peach's Castle 64's collisions, and (even on my Test stage!) when going from straight ground or sloped ground and there's a steeper slope ahead, like downward ones, Mario will jump off and land on the slope. I think I have a few ideas how to fix this.
2) The obvious Cliff issue where the position of the edge grab is never consistent.
3) Moving platforms don't move fighters with them yet.
So that's that for now. I'll try to have one more Article post before the New Year, but no guarantees!
