Update ver. 6-25-2024


Hey Smashers, how's life treating ya?

First of all the pics!

I've worked on better positioning for grabbed opponents. Now, the Hip bone (the bone targeted by the grab collision) will more accurately follow the Throw one by becoming a child of the grabber. I just need to fix rotations, as seen in the second pic. When released, the parent will get back to "null", setting the captured fighter free.

Second, I've come up with a new way to handle multihit attacks, as well as making sure they're only hit once when there are multiple hitboxes. I'll implement it soon enough.

Third, I want to work on more "hit" types (slash, fire, etc.) and get hit effects working. I also know now how to do lingering effects (like the flashing/flames sticking to you when hit with a fire attack). A lot of plans, but I have ideas on how to do most of them!

Fourth: Items are still being conceptualized. I've just been busy working on other gameplay aspects.

Finally! I remember wondering how I'd make new animations and then have root motion working? Solved! I'm testing my theory out in 3DS Max!
