I think I've come up with a more CPU-friendly solution to spawn particle effects! IF successful, I will be using this as well and adapting it to my Hitbox generator and later for item spawning!
Next up: I'm finally beginning my Item prototyping tests! I've created a small cube mesh, serving as a test Throwing item to playback animations and test the transitions. I have the Super Mushroom working already which is cool. It should be pretty simple to code other items that activate just on touch.
I've regenerated the project's "Library" folder in Explorer. This allowed the entire codebase and project to reload/reimport, which also increased performance a bit. I'm making a new mission to make the game run as smoothly as humanly possible.
I was finally able to update to the new Unity 6 Preview build. I think this time, I'll stick to 6, and try not to update next time there's a stable, full build.
That's all for now, surprisingly enough. But I need to return to work!
