I literally had to gut most of my project of things for a freakin LAYERING issue
Let that sink in
That’s the amount of bs layers are
I mean I had to redo some other things anyways, sooo yeah, it’s probably for the best but still

Still can't escape it, but!
Now I know the reason why, it’s all on the same layer for some reason(still I have no clear understanding why it’s even possible)
I just gotta find a way for it to unstuck itself
Ok.. nevermind- just realized I put some things in the wrong place-
Gosh this project…
But I think this actually is the last time I’ll ever have to directly look at a layer block for a while

Soo it turns out that with the thing, it was easier to solve than I expected, but there’s a cost that can affect some things, which is performance

Dealing with Scratch Layers is the most traumatic thing any developer can go through, Unreal and Unity don’t have crap with the absolute amount of bs this one particular thing has



Okay?… now there’s another issue with this, but I’m honestly not sure about this one
There’s a weird one frame delay for it to get in the right order position, even if the sorting it already done it’s a small thing but it’s super noticeable problem


I really wish I can show you guys what I’ve done so far as a video, but my laptop keeps revolting against me so ig screenshots will do. Anyways… Operation Cleanup Progress so far!

On a much different note, I made my own custom little thing(yes in Turbowarp deal with it) that will help me like find the dimensions of like the 2D paper sprites, so I can get their sprite Z and hitbox dimensions easier without the hassle
Currently not feeling too well, I think I probably might be sick with laryngitis so yeah, but when I’m over it I’ll have to rework the whole enemy system again since the old one is outdated, and I gotta think more on how to go with level development
Realizing that I’m gonna have to remake level assets again, but now that I like don’t have anything urgent to do I can try to figure out the clear look at least for some of the worlds, but mostly the first since that’s the first one to do
