Captain America's Chest Star, made ~2017.
This was before I learned “finish” prints with auto-body materials.
Seemed a good fit for the 4th. Happy 4th of July!

New Project! The Doom Slayer Helmet!
Scaling, is one of the trickier aspects of making props. It helps to have a scan of your own head. Here you see me comparing the helmet base scale to a scan of my own head. You can use phone apps to capture your head.

Current project: Making the Doom Slayer Helmet
I have finally settled on a file. Now to get scaling.

Loading...I mostly made the Tesseract to have a prop for learning how to make the portal effect.
Made with DaVinci Resolve and ProductionCrate VFX.

You need two baseball display cases to make a Tesseract. You need the lid from each as it does not include the baseball holder.
TAP Plastics makes “Illusion Film” that is lenticular in design and has a native blue color.
I am still making the light part.

Loading...My Tesseract, it looks different in motion. Still photos don’t do it justice.
Made from baseball display cases and illusion film.

The Tesseract rather, my 3rd version of one. I really love how this is looking. I got the material suggestion from Odin Makes but as usual am adapting it.
All commercial materials thus far.

T-850 Hydrogen Cell cosplay prop. It is made from a Tic-Tac container and 3D printed parts.
This was made a couple years ago. Packing foam is used to diffuse the light of a single red LED.
I need to print a new, cleaner one. I can do better now.
