Item menu update - Spent the night getting the UI control scripts ready for the player inventory which im dying to finish. Theres always something more that needs doing. The code for adding items and stacking is in place now. now for the menu code.

Im trying to thrash out the inventory system tonight along with everything else that entails, the hud, the data, the animations and changing player interactions to use events and raytraces now I've had to include code to determine direction.

Ive been working on getting more sprites for the hotel ready and trying out a few different colour schemes as colour coding the rooms may make it easier to distinguish between them. With map switching in place I may move onto drafting the rest of the town

Spent the evening making some of the art assets for menus and creating a few mock ups. they'll need playing about with still but the basic idea is there.

Tranisitions are something I've been getting working all day. not just moving between maps but also adding fade ins and outs but also tying it back into the game clock and lighting which can be seen in effect here.

Quick look at something else that came to mind when creating the lighting system. different settings for different systems. longer nights for winter, brighter and longer days in summer. no real effect on gameplay but adds to the feel.
