I like the idea: a magician robot - it's super cool - and the game definitely looks pretty promising. Altough the reloading music and the respawning enemies are really annoying. By the way I stuck after I've found the wall breaking spell. It seems in every way I need a double jump to progress - or something like that. Am I missing something?

Hi Bloodbane, I wish to make some sprites for your game to thank you for all you've done to me. Can I show you what I am am able to draw for your hero and enemies?

This is my entry for DreamHack Summer Jam 2019 whose theme : Magic vs Science. The game is metroidvania inspired by Super Metroid, Contra, Lyle in Cube Sector and Castlevania .

Story:

You are a robo magi, robot who have learned magic. Great as it sounds, other robots don't like you and you must escape. Explore the base to find orbs which grants new spell to access more areas. Beware! it won't be easy!
Run n gun your way to your freedom!

Information:

Jam version is the original version of DreamHack Summer Jam 2019. Post Jam version 1 is the updated version with more features and released for DreamHack Jungle Jam 2020

Mild Cartoon Violence

The new platforms were too thin so they need to be thickened like shown in these shots. Now, they look better :).

1 & 2: Drew new sprites for platforms. Looks good but might need some adjustments.

3: Updated room content to make is exclusive to Magito.

New tough enemy gave me idea to expand and update to a branch in Area A. Now it is more challenging yet balanced.

Added a tough enemy bot which prowls around in higher rooms.

1st shot: Feature Creep crept in causing ride level to be constructed. It was a nice change.

2nd shot: New rooms are constructed which leads to the switch.

3rd shot: Rooms get new content as new trap came.

Some old levels get update, making them better and opened new challenges.

I decided to implement unique wall color for each area to give unique feel.

1st shot: Magito jumps between two large explosions.

2nd shot: Dukuro races to the right as chain reaction of green boxes explosion occur.

Just created Electrified Platform. Obviously it's a trap but Dukuro can neutralize this platform with proper spell.

Magito and Dukuro will go through different paths and will face different bosses.
