Plants vs Zombies Horror Edition

i like Sunflowers just don't even falter their smile like nothing is happening lol (even tho peashooter is scared as balls) (still a really cool mod tho)

My favorite pvz mod I have to say, doesn't change much which I like and I love how it looks and sounds, I only have two minor things to say.

I think the changed plants should have a little description like the zombies do, mostly "chomper" and others like snow pea, would be nice to get a bit of lore on what's different.

And the second thing, some minigames can get a bit annoying with the new health pools but tbf, I don't think anything can be done about that without basically making a version that is the same as base, so eh, whatevs.

So yesterday I played a bit of the game, I reached level 3-2 and stopped playing

Talking about the textures, they're pretty good and exactly what I expected. I liked to play PvZ this way, and it's funny how sometimes the lack of colors ended up confusing me, that was a fun thing to get used to. The seed packets are also cool, the only bad thing is the chomper, its seed packet is just sunflower's packets but darker, and for some reason, it doesn't have a name and an almanac entry, but this doesn't really matter in the gameplay.

About the songs, they're just Genaro's songs so I don't even need to say that they're good. The only problem with the songs is that the zombie horde theme starts playing out of nowhere, I think that this must be because the two parts are in the same file and are not programmed to play separated, but that's fine, nothing that will ruin your experience.

Now, let's go to the gameplay changes. There is only one gameplay change, it is the zombies health, depending on the level you are, zombies will be tougher. This looked unbalanced at first, but it is pretty easy to get used to, of course you'll need to think real fast to plan your strategies when a zombie appears, regular peashooter are basically useless, so don't even think about using them when you have snow pea and repeater, potato mine is incredible, it will help you through in half of every day level, and you have wall nuts to help with the zombie's defense, the strategy that I used to defend myself when wall-nuts were recharging was using cheap plants like sunflower in the front line to defend myself, as I would get a bit of sun and the zombies would lose their time eating the sunflowers. Don't think of using the sunflowers on the first columns, I'd recommend you to plant them on the third and fourth column, as the peashooters will need some extra time to kill the zombies, the sunflowers will defend them by giving extra time.

Night levels are really balanced, the only zombie that was really hard to deal with was the door shield one, as its health was really big, I needed, like, two fume-shrooms and another plant to defend them. Anyways, I'm impressed on how balanced this is, I thought that it would just be boring, as one of the gameplay showed zombies with an extreme amount of health, but the video was outdated.

Anyways, the mod is really good, I recommend it, it is a new way to play PvZ without running away from the og experience. I'll give the mod a 8.5/10 just because somethings still needs to be fixed and because I didn't play the entire mod yet, I still need to get through pool, fog and roof.
