Ariathia is a 2D top-down shooter that's set in a distant future, where Earth has been exhausted of natural resources. Humanity is left to scatter among the stars, in search of other planets to sustain them. You serve a splinter of humanity onboard the SFS Horizon, orbiting a foreign planet known as Ariathia. However, soldiers deployed to secure a base of operations have gone MIA, and you alongside your fireteam have been deployed to find them.

In order to succeed in your mission, you must master your arsenal, and more importantly – your body. As time progresses, conflicts change, and so do your enemies. Get ready for changing environments, changing scenes, and most importantly – changing combat.

Manage How You Play: On day one of the full release, the game will have both KBnM and full Controller support.

Free Play: After completing a level in story mode, you may return to any level on the world map with whatever gear you currently have. In addition, you can rack up the difficulty of enemies to give yourself a challenge.

Customize Your Arsenal: Once you unlock a weapon or a piece of equipment, it remains yours unless you delete your save file. Upon selecting a level on the world map you can select what weapons or equipment you bring with you.

Combat, health, and enemy AI are finally added, with the consequence of accidentally developing the fundamentals for a Firefight-like gamemode.

If I can get the first two levels complete before August, Firefight might come as part of the demo.

Maybe.

One step closer to releasing a playable build. Added menu functionality and global variables to lock levels if you haven't completed the previous.

Time to get back to work on the fun parts! Will share more as I do.

Just tried animating my menu UI, but halfway through the animation it just gives up, and reverts back to its initial position. It isn't jerky either, it just seamlessly slides back over to where it was before. Might be the funniest bug I've encountered.

Preview of the game's first enemy, the Exiled Shadoth. For now, they aimlessly roam the cave-like canvas where you currently reside.

More to come soon.
