in the spiritual successor to Fennecai Fox Creative's "Spheroid"; you play as a robotic blue sphere equipped with a powerful electrical field. Collect data bytes, defeat patrolling enemies, and build up speed to roll through a variety of uniquely stylized environments at breakneck speeds as you journey to find out what happened to all the data that was recently stolen from the Blissful Hills datacenter!

Post-cancellation; I decided to release some footage of the game that was previously kept secret. This had potential in hindsight, but I just cant make myself excited enough about the game to keep working on it.

Very unfortunate news: this game has now met a similar fate to it's predecessors. Please click through to learn more about why I came to this decision.

well; I've been busy on other projects besides this game, but I feel like I gotta post something, so here's a quick update:

We have a music composer for the game! There's not much of his work to show yet but at least there's some great music for the game

Introducing: the Databyte! I designed them to resemble SD cards; which seemed like the best choice for a Mario-coin-ish collectible item, considering the game's plot and their generally compact shape. Perfect to display the value, too. (in editor screen)

So; let's talk about the spiritual predecessor, "Spheroid"... Spheroid has a long history, and I thought it'd be cool to share a bit about it here in an article. Think of it as a postmortem press conference or something.
