What do you think?

Awesome game! This is a really great idea. My high score so far is 46 and I love that it's pulse pounding and tough as nails. My favorite bit of polish is that the ship turns the direction you're pressing before it gets to the next intersection, so you feel like you're drifting around the corner. Extremely well done!

Visually very appealing! Cat-like reflexes need, Fine!

Very like that wide cut in the end

Cool game! The basic idea is simple but there's a nice amount of different obstacles and the presentation is very slick and stylish. The camera movement could be toned down though.

My best score was 45ish

Hey, man, our game is a little similar! What a wonderful play!

This is my entry for the Game Maker Opera GX GameJam.

I had two ideas for the jam - one that could maybe win the grand prize [super casual, a meaningful multiplayer mode while not hindering single-player, still enjoyable keyboard input layout, thematically completely on point and so on] and this one.

I'm so glad I chose this one.

Not that I wouldn't like my game to place high in the competition and win a lot of money but this was such a spiritual experience to make - I had this idea floating around in my head for a long time inspired by artists like dave whyte https://www.beesandbombs.com/ , terry cavanagh https://superhexagon.com/ , and deep extended universe star wars lore all mashed up together into one thing but couldn't make it work.

And now I have and it feels amazing.

I hope you will like it too.

Thank you for playing.

ps.: the game might seem very hard but I hope it is not frustrating. My absolute best personal high score over the last two weeks is 66 seconds and I would love to hear feedback!

pps.: I almost forgot to mention the song is

I can't believe HyperVelocity was chosen to be the very first challenge of the week of #OperaGX new http://gxc.gg !!! https://gxc.gg/games/48caf715-a8fa-40a9-b32f-cc1891156ef5

https://gxc.gg/games/48caf715-a8fa-40a9-b32f-cc1891156ef5/tracks… Let's try this out! I uploaded an improved version of SuperHexgrid to the new free gamemaker operagx platform! Let's head on over and try it out! And as always every feedback is highly appreciated! Making a hard game is not easy!

Development on this game will be continuing! So keep an eye out for irregular updates! This game will be a beast!! Multi-layered levels, morphing grids, huge 3D bosses... but for now all I can post is just a sneak peek of the humble first upcoming update

Thank you all so much for your feedback! It's so hard to balance a game such as this when it's just you in front of the pc already working on it for 2 weeks straight! I really appreciate all your comments!
