What do you think?

Hey, This is a awsome game. I hope you can do a great work!

Played the game, and I had a fun time, I like the story, plot, art design and humor, but I kinda gave up on the zigzag fight, maybe it’s just because I suck but I can’t beat him, I love his design though, could also be a didn’t kill any enemies (and perhaps I could of but after reading the description I figured like in Undertale it’s best to go pacafist or something but I don’t know) given the food stand I feel like I’m supposed to defeat them but wanted to make sure in this. Either way I’m interested in seeing where the game goes, have a wonderful day

Looks super cool good luck

Don't know about the game just yet as I started it this morning.

Lots of Deltarune references, love it!

There are a few grammar fixes I think you need.

Instance 1, your use of capitalizing the letter I mid sentence all of the time. Used in the beginning its fine but not in the middle of sentences.

You do this throughout my playthrough.

Instance 2: "its", not it's.

Overall love the first 25 min gameplay that I have. I just started it.

why in the in-game sprite the muse part(?) of his face is on his left, while in the dialogue box it's on his right side?

WISHLIST

A 2D Platformer RPG about art and magic. You play as JOURNEY and QUINN, two young artist friends who explore a mysterious magical world called NEGATIVE SPACE, to try and make it back home.

Journey must use his powers of illustration, and Quinn must use her powers of music to defeat comical and strange enemies, while slowly uncovering Negative Space's secrets, as it tests and strengthens the two's friendship along the way.

One night, Quinn goes to visit her childhood friend, Journey, after not visiting him for a while, when mysteriously, a STAR begins falling out of the sky, loudly crashing into a hill nearby.

Quinn suggests to go investigate, and though Journey is hesitant, he eventually gives in after enough convincing.

The two enter the dark woods behind Journey's house and make their way to the impact site, and what the find there is something they would have never expected...

How it is told:

MUSESTRUCK's story places a great emphasis on it's characters, and is positively bursting at the seems with faces and interactions that you will never forget. It's told with both heart and humor, and never misses an opportunity to deliver it's jokes or pivotal character moments through it's gameplay. There is also quite a lot of reading too, it is a story driven RPG after-all, but whenever it can, an important beat is paired with some level of player interaction.

In MUSESTRUCK you can swap between Journey and Quinn to engage in combat and with the environment. As Journey, can use your sword to create platforms to climb walls and dodge enemy attack. As Quinn, you can use your your blaster to destroy blocks and do higher damage.

MUSESTRUCK is a hybrid of an RPG and 2D platformer, and combat is its central focus. Journey and Quinn have different strengths and weaknesses in combat beyond just their special abilities. Swapping between the two is crucial for most encounters, especially the BOSSES, which test your combat abilities the most.

Beyond this, the game features:

  • Bullet dodging combat similar to many SHMUPS.

  • An ITEM and SHOP system for managing health.

  • Armor and equipment that give special buffs.

  • PUZZLES. They're tough, but honestly you just can brute force most of them.

  • An optional leveling system.

A wise man once said that the first step to making something original is to copy something else, and MUSESTRUCK does so liberally, while still having it's own unique identity. MUSESTRUCK takes many notes from UNDERTALE and DELTARUNE, but I probably didn't have to tell you that. (Also yes the MOTHER series as well don't worry.)

Cave Story is a strong basis for much of MUSESTRUCK's gameplay and general tone. The bosses are said to be similar to one's seen in many Treasure games, as well as their tight focus on combat and visually spectacular action set-pieces.

MUSESTRUCK also takes heavy inspiration from web-comics like HOMESTUCK, and Cucumber Quest. Cucumber Quest especially in terms of visuals and general themes.
