Played it.
Here's a quick run through:
Plat Wacky is a mixture of classic Mario games with a hint of Sonic The Hedgehog.
You play as plat, a boy who tries to find out what "evil things" a doctor is doing that would cause a loud scream.
Eventually, you meet a giant spider that you must defeat before beating the game.
The gameplay is very Mario-like. It's a platformer with simple enough jumps and enemies to destroy. The enemy design is clear and you understand what to kill and what to avoid.
Some jumps in the game are closer to leaps of faith, as you have no idea whether or not there will be land for you to touch while falling.
There is also checkpoints to make sure you don't get frustrated dying at the end of the level.
The game is pretty short. Maybe 5-10 minutes.
Killing the boss is as simple as jumping on its head and then just chillin up there till its dead. It actually takes quite a bit of time.
The background moves in an interesting way while you move Plat, however, I noticed it's so all over the place that I kinda got a headache.
Opposite to Mario's slow background movement, your eyes may have trouble focusing on Plat.
The music is creepy, but not annoying and definitely added to the general creepy and liminal vibe the game was going for.
The Art style also clearly went for a more creepy, Sonic Creepypasta vibe.
Overall, not a bad first game and a cute play for a few minutes.
Plat felt good to control. His jumps felt nice.
Plenty of sound feedback on kills.
Decent first game.
