Rage Against The Spectrum is an audio-driven fps in which you fight to survive. The game includes a rogue-like mode for the main story campaign, and an arcade mode for custom quick runs.

In both modes, music is the main element of R.A.T.S, the whole environment reacts to it and thus you will need to adapt your actions and strategies to these sudden changes.
For its design and mechanics the gameplay takes cues both from the Call of Duty franchise as well as the newest Doom titles, both gameplay styles are represented by a character in the game.

R.A.T.S. deals with the «glitches of the human mind», generally speaking : From phobias to multiple personality disorder, as well as other medical conditions such as depression or PTSD, R.A.T.S. is a cathartic fight against the psychological disorders and mental diseases that affect and destroy overwhelmed minds.

In R.A.T.S. , music is the representation of therapy, guiding the mind of the players in their fight against disease (viruses and tumors) and psychological weaknesses, represented in the game as monsters from the genre of horror.

R.A.T.S is a Rogue-like game in which the player travels from one level to another, upgrading his character, weapons and items while fighting crowds of minor enemies and stage bosses.

The game also offers an arcade mode in which the player can customize his run by choosing  music, the environnement, the set of enemies and the rules applied (boss rush, color combo, mercenary style...)

Both in story and arcade modes, music defines everything that happens in the game: enemy behavior, their size, strength and speed are synchronized with the track.
