Batticuore. What was once nothing more than one of many european islands turned touristic attractions after their practical use faded over time, with plenty of history and untouched natural scenery... now has been rid of any life form by a mysterious curse. The only survivor? An eccentric fisherwoman that goes by the name of Martha Mahkklen.

Not only that! The waters surrounding Batticuore have been repopulated by a new race of creatures, the Trauma Pets! Bloodthirsty animals that have seemingly no other desire than to cause chaos and destruction, which is hardly worth concern for us humans since they're tiny acquatic creatures.

While scientists continue to research their bizarre biological makeup and behaviour, the common people have began to use them for sports in all sorts of competitions, both peaceful and violent. Now that's where you step in, not to stop this senseless abuse, but to be the very best at it.

-TAKE PART IN 20+ MINIGAMES, some involving your Trauma Pets, others testing your own skills!

-HAVE COMPLETE CONTROL OVER THE TRAUMA PETS, raise them to perfection through selective breeding and genetic engineering!

-UNCOVER THE MISTERY OF BATTICUORE, earn Martha Mahkklen's trust, find out what happened to the inhabitants of the island!

This, AND MORE, on Trauma Pets! Coming out April 17th ON STEAM! https://store.steampowered.com/app/4236490/Trauma_Pets

Day 11 of gamedevving about Trauma Pets

I think i did everything there's to do about the Trauma Pet's genetics between yesterday and today, save for the inevitable bugs that will pop out. Future days will focus on other more boring stuff.

Day 10 of gamedevving about Trauma Pets

Did extensive work on the Trauma Pets themselves, giving them more visual and gameplay variety, rebalancing some of the mechanics pertaining them, and fixing a few bugs. Quite a productive session, today.

Day 9 of gamedevving about Trauma Pets

Mostly a session focused about aesthetics and small bug fixes/balance tweaks, nothing major. The big news for today is that i updated the screenshots on the game's page! Barely noticeable to most, but hey. Marketing.

Day 8 of gamedevving about Trauma Pets

The new minigame is technically functional, even if still a bit boring and a big janky. Wahoo. Also, i did a bunch of minor tweaks to the game's overall aesthetics. An overall light session, today.

Day 7 of gamedevving about Trauma Pets

Woke up feeling like dog ass in all sorts of way, thought this wouldn't end up being a productive session, but i think i squeezed enough progress for the new minigame to feel like i didn't entirely waste today.

Day 6 of gamedevving about Trauma Pets

Instead of continuing work on the new minigame i started yesterday, i randomly decided it would be a good idea to introduce a rudimentary weather system to the game, plus some other stuff. Solid session, i'd say.

Day 5 of gamedevving about Trauma Pets

Taken a break from Linda³ to start working on a new minigame, nothing strictly involving using your own Trauma Pets, something more akin to a carnival game, using your fishing rod, with prizes on the line.

Dai 1 of not gamedevving about Trauma Pets, i guess

I took a day off from making stuff to regain my own sanity. Played a very cool Japanese game called Linda³ through emulation pretty much my entire free time, i can't wait to write about it on Backloggd.

Day 4 of gamedevving about Trauma Pets

Outside of an annoying visual bug that's been bothering me for weeks, everything from yesterday's testing list was finished, plus a ton of other minor stuff i found along the way. A greatly productive day all around.

Day 3 of gamedevving about Trauma Pets

Today was my weekly testing day, and like it's been the case many weeks before, i've accumulated a big list of minor gripes that i'll take care of tomorrow and the following days. Productive few hours of work there.
