Area 1 is complete! 7/7 levels!

Read more to learn about the upcoming demo

I was going to upload a demo this weekend, then remembered that it's Mother's Day and y'all need to call your mothers and grandmothers instead of playing video games

My goal is Monday, possibly Sunday evening if I'm feeling ambitious and get all the little odds and ends done. Lucy's vest isn't fitting quite right, and I found the weirdest and most precise bug ever. Should be an easy fix, but it was still very odd and extremely precise

Keen on the demo? Here's what you should know:

  1. The primary function of this game is education. It's modeled after old-school Mario Teaches Typing, but the goal is to learn Unified English Braille.

  2. Brailling involves chording using the SDF/JKL keys. It is not a mobile game. I think it'd be cooler'n heck to be able to plug in a braillewriter and play, but I highly doubt that will ever happen.

  3. It is intended to be rather minimalist. Again, education first. And there isn't much of a story to it either.

If it still sounds like fun, or if you just want to help out a brain-dead, cross-eyed developer, keep an eye out in the next few days for a demo/alpha test

Art day today. Did a little messing around with the cupboards and some furniture. Got a wine cellar, shower and tub and such. Probably redo appliances, spiff them up a bit Once I get all the major stuff in, then I'll go through and build the levels

Almost done with Area 1. 4/7 levels completed. Started work on the home/interior sprites, ran into a minor logistics issue But if I get them outlined, I can polish and reimport later

Level 5 complete Not sure if I'm ambitious enough to do Level 6 today. I might just need food first But it's looking like a demo is possible this weekend

Happy #WIPWednesday!

Ah, yes, Grandpa and Grandma's old farmhouse, with a million rooms, basement full of mason jars, and the old '57 Chevy in the garage

I mean, not my Gramma and Grampa, but someone's, right?
