So one thing I and many others noticed about the FNaF Ruin DLC is that both the Mimic and Eclipse share some parts with each other. Especially the teeth.

Now this is interesting by itself, but it’s actually not the first time we see a connection between these two characters. In the based game of Security Breach, there’s a minigame called “Balloon World” where we see Glitchtrap/mimic1 in this minigame. The only difference is that Glitchtrap/mimic1 isn’t a rabbit in this game but instead a mix between Sun and Moon, or in other words an Eclipse.

So what does this mean? I think it connects back to another character named “Tiger Rock”.

In the Tales books, we see the Mimic put on a grayish purple lion with its mane removed. People believe this lion character is connected to Tiger Rock and the mane was removed to look like David’s white tiger plush, and with what the Mimic did in Ruin with the other mascot costumes that does actually make sense. This lion suit would be used by Fazbear Entertainment for the Storyteller animatronic at the Mega Pizzaplex, which shows us that older animatronics and mascot suits were being used in the Pizzaplex.

What if the Eclipse is the game version of the Storyteller? This would explain the connection that the Mimic has to the Eclipse, and answer one of the biggest questions we have to the Tales books and how they should be used for answering the game lore.
