This artwork, among a lot of others, were part of a series of artworks from years ago featuring Wireframes.
Wireframes are malicious and power-hungry beings stuck in a sealed dimension where their ideals are law.
This means anything they want to do or become is reality, morphing into wild and chaotic shapes and forms.
As an omnipresent hivemind, they want to escape their world of void into other dimensions, out of curiosity with what power they possess, but their ideals only get them so far as the boundaries of said world.
Even though they have limited space, it doesn't stop them from toying with their immense strength, plotting escape routes and philosophizing about various life questions.
