DESOLATION

DESOLATION Alpha 1.4 is out! You can read the full changelog below - or just download the game to see it there.

To be honest, it has been around a week since this version was done - I just was too lazy to make a post about it. But the thing is, 1.5 is already on the works, and I think it'll be one the best updates once I get done with it.

Anyway, here is the changelog:

* Full controller support added. Navigating through the UI is now possible.

* Added aim assist to controllers. Can be closed from the gameplay settings. Still needs some work.

* Added button hints for controllers. Only works in the main menu for the time being. Will be improved.

* Robots in Infinite Mode now don't shoot you if you can't see them.

* The font has been modified to support Turkish characters. (excluding the italic font)

* Shotgun's buffed to shoot 4 bullets per firing and shoot cooldown was decreased from 0.5 to 0.4 seconds.

* Added "matches played" and "high score" texts to Infinite Mode's menu.

* Developer console additions:

- Left and right arrows can now be used to navigate through the written command.

- Ctrl + V shortcut pastes text from clipboard.

- "scene [name]" function added.

- "scenes" function added.

- "assign" function now overwrites the commands if the same key is used twice.

* Added titles to menus in the main menu & pause menu.

* The changelog menu now works. Will be improved in later versions.

* Revamped the main menu buttons. Removed "Campaign" and "About" buttons.

* Added custom ammo acquire images (may change later).

* Various source code optimization & cleaning.

I added full controller support to my shooter game

Happy #WIPWednesday! Are you working on a game? Making some art? Practicing a song? Something else? Tell us in the comments!

Made a small change in the UI - I think it looks pretty good. Thoughts?

Welcome @pracystudios to Game Jolt!

They're the developers behind Nocturne, a Rhythm RPG inspired by Chrono Trigger and Undertale, where every enemy has a unique song, which you defeat by playing notes Guitar Hero style.

Added pushable NPCs, bullets piercing through objects and fun little commands to my shooter game

Lighting really does make all the difference (a daily screenshot from the map I'm working on)

Decided it'd be nice to have some sort of "wake up protocol" text appear in the beginning, so I quickly set up this in the evening. Thoughts? The text might be weird a little lol
