DESOLATION Update Alpha 1.2 - Changelog

  • Added achievements to the game. (The total count is 9 for the time being, but I plan on adding more and changing a few of them)

  • Revamped the keybindings menu with a better look and functionality.

  • Changed the way settings menu functions. (changes are not saved until you close the menu, which I could use to add a "discard" button and such in the future)

  • The entire sound system is rewritten.

    • Lesser memory leaks should happen (I guess)

    • Sounds inside the game are positioned correctly (e.g. an explosion from the right side actually sounds like it's coming from the right)

    • Distant sounds are less silent.

    • (It's a bit rough around the edges, but does the job for now)

  • Fixed an issue regarding script loads in scene & map switches (Not exactly a seen issue, but fixing this finally lets me package the game into an APK!)

  • The unused buttons in the main menu now appear gray.

Made a small change in the UI - I think it looks pretty good. Thoughts?

I added full controller support to my shooter game

Decided it'd be nice to have some sort of "wake up protocol" text appear in the beginning, so I quickly set up this in the evening. Thoughts? The text might be weird a little lol
