First of all, I'd like to apologise that this took so long. I have a sneaking suspicion that Devlog 5 might take just as long. But maybe I'm being pessimistic. Who knows?
Anyways. the first thing I've been working on is the demo's main menu. Why? Because the battle system still scares me, and I reasoned this would be a good way to get a grasp on UI in Godot. The game info page and the credits page may be altered slightly as time goes on, of course, and the settings menu might be what I work on next. Maybe. It's less scary than the battle system, at least.
Next, the music track. I'm pleased to show off our first piece of OST for the game, named 01: Fourth Start! Fourth Start is our equivalent of Start Menu with a bit more flavour added to it. Fourth Start was done by Luna (and of course based on Toby Fox's Start Menu) and marks a big step in Regal Purple's development. Now, some of you may be wondering why it's 01 instead of 02. I just wanted to number the tracks in the order that we finish them instead of in the order of when you hear them.
01: Fourth Start will be uploaded to GameJolt shortly after this is posted, and to YouTube whenever I feel like it. So, uh, if you want to listen to it, you know where to find it. This also marks the first time I've included my voice in a devlog video, so I apologise for my poor mic quality and generally unpleasant voice.
Anyway, that just about wraps up what we have for you all today. As always, I hope you enjoyed reading this, and I hope you like 01: Fourth Start. Cya in the next devlog!
