Good day, dear subscribers!
As you probably know, we had a protracted conflict with TopHat Interactive, the original creators of Undertale Bits&Pieces. However, we are happy to inform you that yesterday, 01/24/25, our conflict came to an end. Both sides of the conflict finally decided to get in touch and talk. As a result of a lengthy dialogue, which took place behind closed doors, we came to a common compromise regarding the mod and content.
All sprites and tiles will undergo significant changes, but we retained the right to depict them in a style similar to Bits&Pieces and use a similar color palette.
All soundtracks written by the TopHat Interactive team must also be replaced with our own. Composers will have a lot of work.
The battle with Mirror Frisk will be removed, since this character is an author's character for the TopHat Interactive team. Despite the community's great love for this boss, we will have to abandon it.
The storyline with Susie will also undergo significant changes (however, we were going to write her story from scratch anyway and did not plan to introduce Meat Factory into the game, replacing her with something else).
Thus, New Hope from the patch continuing Bits&Pieces becomes a mod, its spiritual successor and will not have any connections with the original mod, except for the general style and palette. The author's content of New Hope remains and will not undergo changes.
Special thanks for resolving this conflict we would like to express to @Mr. George and @✿ 𝒞𝒽𝓁𝑜𝑒 ✿, for expressing their willingness to cooperate, as well as to the members of our Discord community @cuteseeveegirly ("Well, sometimes you can go against the rules to achieve the best result.") and @SansChats129 for not losing hope in the possibility of a constructive dialogue between the teams and helping them with this in every possible way.
