Hello everyone, this is the last episode (Story of Ladder Up). In this episode, I will talk about the cut content in the game and answer questions about the project.
Cut content:
Initially, the game in level 4 was supposed to be repainting the level in red as it progressed, but I didn't know how to do it without switching the lighting and I abandoned the idea, but in the version on (Clickteam Fusion) there was this version of the transition:

Another thing I gave up was the mechanics of hiding in lockers. I wanted to implement this mechanic and even made a reference to it in the 7th level where (the devourer) first appears, but while I was working on the second behavior for the monster, I forgot about this mechanic and decided not to do it, especially since I made it so that (The Devourer) he lags behind the player if you run away from him at a sufficient distance.

By the way, initially the game was supposed to have only one ending, in it the main character would fall into the abyss, and then wake up in the office, as I worked on the game, I came up with two endings and implemented them in the game.
Answers to questions:
Which of the two is the canonical ending? - the ending of the "White Door" is canon.
Are there any game sequels or additional content planned? - No, there won't be any sequels or prequels, the same goes for additional content like comics, I tried to make a comic based on the game, but I realized that I have nothing to tell. The only thing that I will probably release for the game is an update with translation into other languages and maybe something else cosmetic, I don't know for sure.
What about the next game? - I can't say anything about the next game yet, because I don't even have anything to show. At the moment, I'm writing the plot of the game, thinking over the first location, by genre it will be a horror quest in pixel art using rotoscoping, I really hope that I will be able to show this game this year.
That's it, that's the end of the series (Story of Ladder Up), I'm glad that I talked about how I made this game, and during its development I was able to gain some experience. And so I'll see you in the next project (You could collect the name of the next game from the words that I left at the end of each post of this series). Good luck!
